Today we’re exploring Vat Phou temple, an amazing ancient Hindu temple complex located in Champasak, Laos (southern Laos). Vat Phou is recognized as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is over 1000 years old, and is remarkably well preserved. Admission is 50k kip for foreigners, and 20k kip for Lao people, and the site is open daily from 8am to 5pm for visits. We begin at the entrance and lower level, and follow the paved path up the hill to middle level to see the quadrangular pavilions on each side. Then make are way up more, to the upper level / foot of the sacred Phou Kao mountain, where we find the main temple sanctuary. Behind the temple we explore the a huge rock structure and spring with sacred water.  Enjoy the video, and let us know what you think!
